Backup Sets
Setting up your backup sets is easy. Simply make your backup selections and choose a backup schedule and your backup set is ready. You may choose what to backup by folders or file types. Once set up, your backup set information is saved to our server so the configuration is never lost.
Compression
All of the files sent to our server are compressed down to make your bandwidth and storage uses minimal.
Security & Encryption
The encryption key used to encrypt your files resides only on your computer and is known only to you. If this key is lost, all backup files can never be recovered. Therefore, although we have access to all files you stored on our backup server, we have no knowledge of the content of the files you stored. Currently, the algorithm that we are using to encrypt your files is 128-bit Twofish. It is a block cipher designed by Counterpane Labs.
Restore Your Files Anywhere, At Any Time
Restoring files can be accomplished anywhere, at anytime with just a few clicks of the mouse. You can either use the Data Vault Manager software to restore any file, or you may use our web-based interface to restore your files from ANY computer.
Logs & Reports
Making sure your data is being backed up and working properly has never been easier. Logs and reports are sent via email to inform you if your backup was successfull or not, if you made any changes to your backup, or if you forgot to run your backup. Backup logs will inform you how much space you are using, and how much of your quota is remaining.
Additional Modules
In addition to In-File Delta Technology included with each package, you can choose additional support modules for: Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL Database Server, Oracle Database Server, Lotus Domino, and/or Lotus Notes.
